This schedule is subject to change,
and the actual route for each week will be confirmed by email.
With the weather being so warm at present, and walks in the shade being very limited, the walks are being planned on a week by week basis at the moment.
Saturday 03rd September 2016
We start off the new season with an easy route to get the muscles working again. This is possible the easiest route that we walk, we start from the Cepsa Filling Station on the A357 and take the Service Road past the new hospital. We then take a track, through a few fincas, that brings us to the confluence of the Rios Grande and Guadlhorce. It is the along the bank of the Rio Grande with the airstrip on the other side, around the Forest Firefighters base and back to the end of the runway. The route then takes us along the banks of the Rio Guadlehorce, through the Eucalyptus wood and onto the homeward track.
There is only on easy and short incline just before the end.
Distance: 9.8km
Difficulty: 1
Approx time: 2.5 hrs
